Summer Blacktop Basketball League
EPBGC Summer Blacktop is a recreational summer youth basketball program designed to provide a fun, inclusive, and competitive experience for players from East Providence and surrounding communities. The program welcomes athletes of all skill levels and focuses on player development, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game.
Participants are placed on teams based on grade level and skill level to ensure balanced competition. Teams play twice per week, with no mandatory practices required, making the program accessible for families with busy summer schedules.
The Tiny Ballers division follows a clinic-style format, where players rotate through skill stations for half of each session and then participate in a game during the second half. Grades 3/4 divisions include a brief practice period with their coach followed by a shortened game. All other divisions compete in two full games per week.
EPBGC Summer Blacktop emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, and fun in a supportive summer basketball environment.
